About The Position

The position involves various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment within the company facilities. Responsibilities include gathering and emptying trash containers, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining common areas. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education level.
• Previous janitorial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and empties various trash containers; replaces trash liners.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, including countertops, sink basins, mirrors, and toilets.
• Mops and sweeps floors to ensure cleanliness.
• Restocks toilet paper, seat covers, and paper towel dispensers.
• Checks and refills air freshener dispensers as needed.
• Cleans and dusts surface areas in break rooms, common areas, and production areas.
• Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Dusts furniture, walls, office machines, and equipment.
• Cleans floors in stairwells, hallways, office areas, lab areas, and general work areas.
• Wipes down stairwell handrails.
• Informs Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager of needed repairs to facilities and/or equipment.
• Restocks supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas as necessary.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
• Follows safety procedures for chemical cleaners and cleaning equipment.
• Maintains janitor closets in a clean and organized manner.
• Maintains a professional demeanor while working in high-traffic areas.
• Cleans exterior common areas around the company facilities.
• Maintains hard-surface floor areas by stripping, sealing, finishing, polishing, waxing, and buffing as necessary.
• Performs general grounds-keeping duties such as watering plants and removing dead foliage.
• Assists with setting up and breaking down meetings and special events.
