About The Position

The Janitorial Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily cleaning operations, leading a team of janitorial staff, and ensuring all facilities are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. This role leads and supports janitorial staff, coordinates schedule, ensures that work is satisfactory completed, and serves as the primary point of contact between the janitorial team and management. Requirements

  • High school graduate, GED, and/or graduate of vocational/technical school. Previous practical work experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • Minimum three years’ experience in related activities
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee janitorial team to complete contract cleaning for the 185th Air Base
  • Lead, train, and supervise janitorial staff to ensure consistent cleaning standards
  • Assign daily tasks and manage work schedules and coverage
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure facilities meet cleanliness and safety requirements
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs
  • Address employee performance issues and provide coaching and feedback
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards
  • Respond promptly to special cleaning requests and facility issues
  • Assist with hands-on cleaning duties as needed
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding staffing, performance, and facility needs
  • Comply with all CARF and Goodwill safety, vocational training requirements and policies and procedures.
  • Will be responsible for driving company vehicle and transporting staff to worksite.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
