Provides supervision and coordination of activities of janitorial workforce cleaning and maintaining premises of assigned off-site facilities to ensure that customers receive a high quality of services that meet all contract requirements/standards. Responsibilities

  • Assigns tasks with time and quality expectations to employees, inspects completed work for conformance to standards and completes quality control inspection
  • Issues supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Resolves employee problems related to task or refers them to immediate supervisor for one-on-one assistance
  • Trains new employees: records hours worked and compares actual hours to budgeted; recommends to Project Manager of employees who do not meet job expectations and performs other personnel related duties as may be required.
  • May requisition or purchase cleaning supplies and equipment according to guidelines determined by the Project Manager
  • Ensures compliance with all safety rules/regulations. Maintains safe and clean work areas. Ensures that safety is emphasized on a regular basis. Requests repairs and changes when required. Adheres to all agency policies governing safety, discrimination/harassment, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the agency's Human Rights plan.
  • Works with Crew leaders assigned to the job to be sure that the task always meets quality standards according to the Quality Control Plan. Promptly consults with Project Manager/Crew Leaders to correct any deficiencies according to the Quality Control Plan.
  • Consults with each Crew leader before task commences to ensure maximum quality and labor efficiency throughout entire task. Monitors daily cleaning to be sure task is performed as scheduled according to Quality Control Plan. Performs task analysis, lost time studies and work in progress inspections.
  • Ensures that all supplies are on hand before a task is started and that timely deliveries are scheduled during normal business hours. Consults with Project Manager/Crew leaders promptly of any problems foreseen.
  • Fully understands the costs associated with the work and consults with Project Manager and Crew leaders to find improvements.
  • Documents about incidents and problems. Prepare supply list for supplies needed in a timely manner. Ensures daily scheduling of each task is correct.
  • Participates in meetings and training courses as required. Identifies training needs. Adheres to all agency policies and procedures including policies on discrimination and sexual harassment. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Other duties as needed by management.
