About The Position

Supervise individuals with disabilities to comply with the Statement of Work. Administrative duties as required by project. Provide skill acquisition training in janitorial services, grounds maintenance and documentation. The need for communication skills orally and written are essential. It is a goal of the agency to provide meaningful work for all individuals who seek assistance. Responsibilities and duties of this position include: Be knowledgeable of all Challenge Enterprises mission. Be a crusader for the agency’s mission. Participate in the Challenge Enterprises orientation. Meet all position requirements as identified by Challenge Enterprises Be prompt. Provide good attendance. Demonstrate a positive attitude towards your position and towards your peers, supervisors, volunteers and front-line employees. Know the Statement of Work Assist with the development of the annual work schedules. Produce quality assurance checks and distribute to COTR and the office of the Director. Review and sign all timecards when Project Manager is unavailable. Assist with the control costs for equipment, supplies, and personnel especially vacation and overtime. Notify supervisor of your need to take time off and schedule vacation. Assign special work orders and address work orders in a timely manner. Ensure that all employees have uniforms that are neat and clean. Work with individuals with disabilities. Follow workday as directed by Project Manager. Assist Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager with administrative paperwork. Train and maintain skills of all individuals assigned to various tasks. Organize assignments and direct individuals to all tasks in a respectful manner. Check tasks on the job for accuracy and thoroughness. Attend in service training when scheduled. Assist with maintaining time sheets/attendance sheets. Assist in Janitorial duties and Ground Maintenance duties. Train/Supervise all varieties of contract crews. Work in all types of weather conditions inside and outside if needed. Train /Supervise individuals in all kinds of weather (extreme heat, extreme cold, rain.) Able to lift at least 50 lbs. Able to communicate with staff and individuals. Be organized.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to lift 45-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand written and oral instructions and follow through efficiently.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding of MSD’s or willing to learn.
  • Good client/customer service skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with computers is a plus-Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Prefer a minimum of (2) two years’ experience.
