About The Position

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supervising the activities of the building/facility cleaning staff. This role ensures that the cleaners maintain offices, hallways, stairs, and other areas within the building in a clean and orderly condition by performing basic cleaning duties. The Supervisor may also oversee the clean-up and basic maintenance of the surrounding grounds and premises, and is expected to work on cleaning projects on Saturdays. Reporting to the Senior Operation Manager, the Supervisor will carry out responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable State and Federal laws.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cleaning practices/procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Background check required.
  • Motivated individual and proactive.

  • Bi-lingual Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees within the shift and assigned buildings.
  • Assist in managing the overall activities of a project(s) and supervise the project crew.
  • Coordinate services activities for assigned buildings to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Maintain and monitor work schedules of all shift personnel, including preparation and submission of weekly payroll time sheets.
  • Establish and maintain work performance standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and general use of equipment.
  • Provide snow removal services.
  • Resolve on-site service delivery problems.
  • Participate in ongoing management/technical skills development training programs.
  • Conduct orientation of new employees and develop employees' skills/abilities.
  • Set up conference rooms and assist with internal moves as needed.
  • Maintain effective ongoing customer relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
