As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) at Mind 24-7, you’ll play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and healing space for patients, staff, and visitors!
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License (required)
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Experience in environmental services, janitorial work, or healthcare cleaning preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, disinfecting furniture, and sanitizing high-touch areas
- Empty trash receptacles in patient and staff areas following behavioral health safety protocols
- Clean recliners, windows, tables, and restrooms to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Replenish janitorial supplies and restock paper products as needed
- Support patient nutrition by organizing snacks, heating meals, and logging refrigerator/freezer temperatures
- Sanitize countertops, sinks, and dispose of expired food in nutrition areas
- Respond to emergency cleanup requests and support staff via walkie-talkie communication
- Conduct daily exterior walkthroughs to maintain a clean facility appearance
- Interact professionally with patients, staff, and visitors, contributing to a positive healing environment
- Follow all OSHA, ADHS, and CARF standards for safety and compliance
