About The Position

We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands 2x from $500MM to $1+B in the next 4 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for Janitorial Services Technician. This position will be based out of our Kar’s Nuts Products facility located at 1200 East 14 Mile in Madison Heights, Michigan. The purpose of Janitorial Staff is to ensure the workspace remains hygienically clean, organized, and presentable for employees, clients & visitors. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 10:50pm -7:00am, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate $16 per hour Essential duties and responsibilities include: Cleanliness & Sanitation: Detail dusting of vents, office space, cubicle tops, file cabinets, and ancillary areas. Vacuuming carpets and mopping hard surface floors. Cleaning offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, and kitchen to maintain hygiene. Emptying trash cans and recycling bins daily. Routinely wipe down all points of contact. (door handles, fire extinguishers, counters, waste cans, push plates, etc.) Safety & Accident Prevention: Cleaning up spills promptly to prevent slips & falls. Walkways, stairs, and entrances are clean and clear of obstacles. Cleanliness around emergency exits and equipment. Professional Appearance: Keeping floors, windows, and common areas presentable for staff, clients, & visitors. Arranging furniture and supplies neatly when needed. Supportive Services: Restocking restrooms, kitchen supplies & janitorial cart daily (soap, paper towel, toilet paper, etc.) Reporting maintenance issues like broken fixtures, leaky faucets, or burnt-out lights. Documenting completed duties on the Master Housekeeping Daily Cleaning Schedule. Environmental Responsibility: Properly disposing of waste and recyclables. Using cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly. Physical Requirements: Standing for 8-10 hours; Able to bend stoop, squat, stand, push/pull, walk & reach constantly. Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (30-50lbs), and move furniture or supplies. Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to read and follow cleaning instructions and safety procedures.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, and chemical handling.
Reliability, attention to detail, ability to work independently and with others.
Compliance with workplace safety, and sanitation standards.
And other duties as assigned
Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (30-50lbs), and move furniture or supplies.

Nice To Haves

Prior janitorial or custodial experience.
