Janitorial Service Worker PT/FT
About The Position
This position works as a member of a custodial team providing cleaning services for a contract worksite. Pay Rate: $12.00/hr The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Work environment: This position involves working with equipment. The employee may be exposed to noise. Requirements
- Able to meet the physical demands of the work which includes pushing and pulling 20 lbs., reaching high and low areas, walking for long periods of time including up and down stairs
- Demonstrated ability to meet attendance requirements with a set schedule
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs. and use assistive equipment to move materials
- Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background Investigation
Nice To Haves
- Prior janitorial work experience is not necessary but preferred
Responsibilities
- clean assigned area as instructed by following the task list: includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, removing trash
- Report any concerns or issues to Crew Supervisor
- Request supplies for assigned area as needed
- maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety regulations and work rules
