About The Position

The Janitorial Lead at ABDM is responsible for overseeing a high-performing janitorial program within a large shipping and distribution warehouse. This role combines hands-on cleaning tasks with supervisory responsibilities, including training staff, managing cleaning schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Janitorial Lead will establish cleaning protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, contributing to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent relevant experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in janitorial or cleaning services, preferably in a high-traffic or warehouse environment.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment usage.
• Proven understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety practices.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead a team of janitorial staff, providing direction, guidance, and support.
• Train new janitorial team members in cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review cleaning goals and promote teamwork.
• Ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained according to standards.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Implement and maintain cleaning schedules to accommodate warehouse needs.
• Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in safe and proper working order.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to address cleaning requests.
