About The Position

Rapid City Medical Center is seeking a full-time Professional Housekeeper to join their housekeeping team. The role involves maintaining high cleanliness standards in various clinic areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evening and weekend hours, to accommodate the needs of the facility.

Requirements

• Skill in operating housekeeping equipment and machines.
• Ability to clean clinic areas effectively.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Housekeeping Supervisor daily to discuss cleaning needs and work schedule.
• Assemble cleaning supplies and equipment to clean floors, rooms, and offices according to established methods.
• Vacuum carpets and remove spots for cleanliness and bacteria control.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and sanitize clinic areas as needed.
• Wash ceilings, walls, floors, lights, windows, fixtures, mirrors, counters, and vents.
• Mop floors in uncarpeted areas and scrub/buff floors with machines.
• Transport trash and soiled linen to designated areas and distribute fresh linen.
• Move furniture to clean and dust surfaces, damp-wipe furniture, and polish fixtures.
• Check supplies daily and notify Supervisor to order more as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and restock supplies as necessary.
• Identify and report unsafe or unsanitary conditions to Supervisor.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
• Enhance professional growth through in-service meetings and education programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
