About The Position

Under general supervision, the Cleaning Floor Technician will be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring all carpeted and hard surface floors throughout the facility. This role requires experience in using specialized floor care equipment, applying industry best practices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. Provide high quality service and professionalism, maintaining the standards and integrity of the Environmental Services Department. Clean, maintain and care for a variety of floor types, including tile, carpet and brick. Completes assigned tasks efficiently and on time. Follow established procedures for the correct use of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Operate, maintain and care for floor cleaning equipment safely and properly. Consistently observe safety protocols, including the use of "wet floor" signs and other precautions. Work independently with minimal supervision. Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in floor care, janitorial or commercial cleaning will be valued
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques for various surfaces
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of floor care equipment
  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe use practices
