Janitorial Cleaner Level 3/ Days
About The Position
As a Janitorial Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining daily cleanliness in plant/office restrooms, employee locker rooms, employee breakrooms and office spaces, to help ensure a safe and welcoming clean environment. Reporting to the sanitation lead, you will utilize your core skills in cleaning and custodial experience to perform tasks such as floor care and general maintenance. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will be essential in executing your duties effectively. Additionally, your relevant skills in industrial cleaning will enhance the overall efficiency of our cleaning operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
- 2+ years of janitorial experience
- Must have the ability to read and write to understand safety rules, operating equipment instructions, and SSOP’s.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a food facility or other sanitation program.
Responsibilities
- Clean office areas, empty trash from restrooms, breakrooms, and R&D/quality areas daily
- Cleaning plant/office restrooms, cleaning both trucker’s restrooms and shipping/maintenance restrooms daily
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing stairwells will be required daily
- Disinfect common area surfaces in all breakrooms including tables, chairs, kitchen counters, kitchen sinks and microwaves daily
- Clean light fixtures, vents, walls, furniture, windows, and window coverings daily
- Restock all beard nets, earplugs, and hair nets at all employee entrances daily
- Restock all paper towels, toilet tissue and hand soap in all restrooms daily
- Restock breakroom napkins, plates, cups, forks, spoons, coffee, and condiments in all breakrooms daily
- Employee refrigerators and ice machines will be cleaned weekly
- Will be required to use cleaning chemicals with the correct PPE properly and per SDS
- Work will require repetitive motion on a daily basis and may include bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing.
- Work requires lifting and moving heavy items at 50 pounds, anything over 50 pounds requires assistance.
