About The Position

The Janitorial Building Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all janitorial operations across one or multiple tenant facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized environment. This role manages daily staff operations, timekeeping, work orders, and service requests while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer responsiveness. The supervisor serves as the primary onsite point of contact, ensuring quick turnaround on tenant needs and efficient coordination with internal departments and vendors.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tenants, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights or weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and support janitorial staff across multiple tenants and locations
  • Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, PTO, and payroll accuracy
  • Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
  • Assign daily tasks and respond quickly to tenant service requests and urgent issues
  • Inspect offices, common areas, restrooms, and high-traffic spaces to ensure quality standards are met
  • Create, track, and close work orders; document service completion and follow-up actions
  • Ensure fast turnaround and resolution of tenant requests and complaints
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and consumables; place and track orders
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with safety regulations
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce company and regulatory safety policies
  • Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with management, engineering, and vendors
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation for audits and compliance
  • Assist with hands-on cleaning as needed to ensure service continuity and quality

Benefits

  • Salary: $29.00/per hour
  • Full-time Hours/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (some weekends if needed)
