About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at Jani-King. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants. This role involves performing custodial duties, facilities maintenance, and commercial cleaning tasks across different settings.

Requirements

• Must have TWIC card.
• Previous experience in custodial services or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is a plus.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices will be advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
• Carry out industrial cleaning duties in designated areas while adhering to safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and maintain a proactive approach to facility cleanliness.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for timely resolution.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
