Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
Gather and empty trash.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Mix water and detergents or acids to prepare cleaning solutions.
Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors.
Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas.
Make adjustments or minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, or electrical systems.
Drive vans or industrial trucks to perform cleaning work.
Spray insecticides or fumigants to prevent infestations.
Set up, arrange, or remove decorations for events.
Clean chimneys, flues, and connecting pipes.
Mow or trim lawns or shrubbery.
Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Clean laboratory equipment.
Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water.
Dispose of trash or waste materials.
Confer with coworkers to coordinate maintenance or cleaning activities.

Must be available to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy objects.
Experience in cleaning and maintenance preferred but not required.

Previous experience in a janitorial or maintenance role.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
