At the Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) we work closely with local governments and other community partners throughout Clark County to address issues of affordable housing and homelessness and help families break the cycle of poverty. We provide affordable housing and housing assistance to low-income residents in Clark County. The Janitor performs a variety of deep cleaning and janitorial tasks in VHA-owned or managed buildings, including preparing vacant units for occupancy. Your skills and abilities will support our mission as you: Deep clean and vacuum all vacant housing and common areas, including rooms, laundry rooms, hallways, elevators, windows, kitchen and bathroom appliances, light fixtures, curtain rods and woodwork; wax floors; replace light bulbs. May require removing heavy dirt and grime. Perform minor repairs as requested on lights, garbage disposals, toilets, showers, etc. Keep bathroom, laundry room, hand sanitizer, and other common area supplies stocked. Clean assigned property grounds, including picking up refuse, debris, and abandoned belongings, emptying outdoor garbage cans, and smoking receptacles. Stock pet stations. Assist with unit cleanout of refuse, debris, and abandoned belongings when units are vacated. May assist with groundskeeping clean-up and unit lockouts as needed.
