The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, performing routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, proper disposal of waste, replenishing cleaning supplies, and notifying management of any maintenance or repair needs. Essential Job Functions: Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas within the facility, including offices, restrooms, breakrooms, corridors, and common areas. Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces, doorknobs, steering column, handrails, consoles, and other frequently used areas in the terminal and inside tractor cabs to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of germs or infections. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables regularly, ensuring proper separation and adherence to waste disposal protocols. Properly handle and maintain janitorial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions, reporting any malfunction or need for repairs. Ensures that the facility is clean and presentable at all times to provide excellent working conditions. Communicates effectively with management regarding any special cleaning needs or events coming up that involve special preparation. Follow proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures to maximum effectiveness. Responsible for ensuring that all supplies are kept orderly and orders supplies as needed. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties, including the use of protective equipment and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe working environment Other duties as assigned
