About The Position

DG Foods is currently looking for a Janitor for its Hazlehurst, MS facility. This individual maintains and ensures that all the facilities are clean and orderly. This position is responsible for the weekly inventory of all supplies and PPE required for production employees. This role will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ years Custodian/Janitorial experience.
Must be 18 years old.
Must be able to learn procedures promptly.
Must have dependable transportation to and from DG Food facilities, no exceptions.
Must be legally eligible to work in accordance with federal and state law.
Must have effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work well with others.
Must be able to train others.
Must be able to communicate with management and staff in a professional manner.
Ability to work in a cold and wet environment.
Ability to work in an office environment.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Preparing and distributing all PPE to production employees before shift and after each break.
Daily monitoring of all floors including halls, breakroom, front offices, USDA office, QA office and HR back offices to ensure they are clean, sweeping and mopping as needed.
Scrubbing, sanitizing, and supplying all restrooms.
Gathering and emptying all trash receptacles.
Cleaning the microwave ovens in the breakroom.
Wiping down and sanitizing all tables in the breakroom.
Must work assigned schedule and be prepared to work any overtime required to accommodate production.
Monthly upkeep and cleaning of refrigerator.
Preparing a weekly inventory of PPE and supplies needed for the following week and turning it in to the HR Manager as directed.
Daily upkeep and emptying of dehumidifiers located in HR and USDA.
May be assigned various other duties or projects as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
