About The Position

Peraton is seeking a full-time Janitor to join our team in our Fort Irwin, CA complex to support the Deep Space Network (DSN) Contract with NASA/JPL. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, such duties as required to ensure the facility is cleaned in accordance with prescribed standards. The Deep Space Network is NASA’s international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never before seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it. This position will be responsible for: Empty trash throughout the complex. Vacuum carpets. Steam clean and shampoo carpets. Wax floors, buff tiles and wash windows. Clean restrooms and other miscellaneous cleaning tasks. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Office/Warehouse environment Lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping, climbing stairs, walking Occasional shift work. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold & humidity Interface with internal and external customers. Dusty, loud/high noise areas

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required and 1+ years of experience is required in the janitorial field.
A valid California driver's license (must possess and retain).
Security clearance - this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a trusted background check and pass a National Criminal Information Check (NCIC). In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
