About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our Team! Position Summary: Performs general routine cleaning/janitorial duties to include (but not necessarily limited to) dusting; sweeping; mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, restroom cleaning and ensuring there is toilet paper, hand soap etc.., and restocking cleaning supplies.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of professional or industrial cleaning experience
• Ability to be flexible
• Self-motivator
• Satisfactory criminal background checks
• This position requires extensive standing and walking throughout the work shift.
• Must have the ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and bend.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to use senses: sight, hearing, smell and touch.
• The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under some hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklist
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned area of the facility
• Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters
• Reports needs and/or concerns to the Facilities Director
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Assist as needed and/or perform snow removal activities
• Minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, moving/adjusting furniture, or other similar activities
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
