About The Position

Must be able to work independently, learn building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, cleaning, and supply restrooms. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems, i.e., broken toilet seats, dispensers, plumbing issues, etc. Request supplies and equipment used for daily cleaning. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Dilute concentrated chemicals in correct proportions according to manufacturer’s specifications for ready to use solutions.

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must be able to pass background checks that are required to enter work site.
  • Must meet badge requirements for all assigned buildings.

  • Report any malfunction of equipment to Lead immediately so maintenance or replacement actions can take place in a timely manner.
  • Report all accidents resulting in injury IMMEDIATELY to your Lead or Supervisor.
  • support any unsafe conditions to Lead or Supervisor.
  • Report any emergencies to Lead or Supervisor.
  • Respond to any other request that is made by your Lead Person or higher authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in janitorial service or completion of a certified janitorial program is preferred, but not required.
