About The Position

KINGSVILLE, TX Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, to maintain cleanliness throughout the building. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met. Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the building and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels. Inspect facilities for damage, vandalism, or safety hazards and report any issues to the appropriate personnel for repair or maintenance. Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment and furniture for events, meetings, and other activities. Sweep and shovel snow from sidewalks and entryways during inclement weather to ensure safe passage for employees and visitors. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Collaborate with other custodial staff and building managers to prioritize tasks and address specific cleaning needs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Building Supervisor to support the overall operation of the building. Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as required by company policies.
