C-P Flexible Packaging is now hiring a day shift Janitor. Pay starting at $19.00/hour DOE, increases at 90 days and every year. General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained in good condition

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail is essential.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and on a team
Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn
Able to operate cleaning equipment
Basic reading and math skills
Ability to read ruler, tape measure
Usage of common tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc.)
Use of sharp tools (razor safety knife)
Use of hoists
Interpret and understand written information (schedules)
Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.
Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Able to lift up to 70 lbs (intermittently)
Sitting on forklift (intermittently)
Bending and stooping
Twisting of neck and back
Stepping/climbing on and off of ladders
Walking, pushing, pulling
Ability to see and hear effectively to perform essential job functions safely.
Ability to work on concrete floors for the mandated hours
Follow all safety regulations and rules at all times, including wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE): Eye Protection/ Safety glasses Back belt Steel toe shoes Hearing protection Hairnets and beard nets
Ability to work in a non-air conditioned environment: hot conditions during summer months and cool conditions during winter months. (consistently)
Must be able to prioritize/multi-task, be a team player and able to adapt to change
Work around solvents, ink, adhesives, and cleaners used in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning supplies
Dust all areas that have dust settled on them
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Collect and dispose of trash
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs needed to building
Keep cleaning supplies in stock and requisition supplies/equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
Service, clean and supply restrooms
Strip, seal, finish and polish floors as needed
Wipe walls, sinks and other visibly soiled areas
Maintain janitorial closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
Notify supervisor of any major spills/clean up spills with appropriate equipment
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manor
Work well when supervisors are not present
General maintenance of grounds to include mowing law, cleaning up rubbish, snow removal/salting in the winter
Stock PPE in all entrance areas to include Hair Nets, Beard Nets, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Face Masks
Tend to basic routine inspections of safety devices
Assist in keeping all work areas clean and safe
Organizational skills
Safety awareness
Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to) Employee Health and Safety
SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s
Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
