As a Janitor at RHI Magnesita, you will play a critical role in supporting plant operations by ensuring cleanliness and sanitation across production areas, offices, and common spaces. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with safety standards and creating a productive work environment for all employees.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
Strong attention to detail and reliability.
Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning schedules.

Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning of production floors, offices, restrooms, and break rooms.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; clean walls, windows, and surfaces.
Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility and replace liners.
Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers safely and effectively.
Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas and ensure spill cleanup to prevent hazards.
Follow all safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Facilities Supervisor promptly.
Assist with special cleaning projects and seasonal deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
