Grocery Warehouse - First Shift - Janitor
About The Position
Monitors each aisle in area of responsibility for damage and spillage. Removes damaged cases to the damage area. Any spillage will be mopped thoroughly, garbage cans are to be emptied as necessary. Responsible to stay on the floor until all selecting is done and assigned area as properly cleaned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor each aisle in area of responsibility for damage and spillage. Remove damaged cases to damaged area. If the case itself is damaged and not the product, it will be taped and put back in working slot. Any spillage will be mopped thoroughly, which includes removing pallet from slot so it also can be mopped. This includes any spillage or unsanitary condition anywhere within assigned area. Empty garbage as needed. All equipment will be locked in supply room at the end of the shift. Mop buckets and garbage will be emptied and rinsed out. All cardboard will be placed in baler. All plastic and other garbage will be placed in compactor. All Janitors will stay on the floor until all selecting is done and assigned area is properly cleaned. Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work with approved cleaning chemicals.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
