Visit us at packaging.toppan.com Summary Description: The Janitor plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse and office environment. This position requires a hands-on approach to cleaning, sanitation, and food safety processes throughout the plant. The role supports a culture of quality, organization, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with safety and food safety regulations across all departments.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 8–12‑hour shifts while standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read safety postings, bulletin boards, operating instructions, and computer screens.
  • Ability to hear alarms and safety warning devices.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify cause‑and‑effect relationships in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety and food safety rules and procedures.
  • Notify the Lead or QC/Food Safety Manager of any needed repairs or safety concerns.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Understand, follow, and accurately execute all cleaning and food safety procedures.
  • Promote accountability for quality throughout the janitorial team.
  • Adhere to all company policies related to safety and food safety.
