Tessera is seeking a hardworking and detailed Janitor with a positive attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Restroom Cleaning - sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop the floor. Follow cross-contamination procedures. Office Cleaning - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors. Clean halls and high traffic areas - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors. Clean entrances and exits - sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Trash - trash in lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, and shower/locker daily. Office areas trash according to the schedule. Restock supplies - restock supplies daily. Dust - dusting in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and dust-free areas only. Clean stairwells - sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule. Cleaning portable showers - clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross-contamination procedures. Maintain lockers - clean and organize. Clean and rinse all equipment before storing. Wet/Dry mop - wet/dry mop each floor according to the schedule. Sweep - sweep each area according to the schedule. Communicate with customers - always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of janitorial experience preferred.
  • Must be able to use safe work practices and demonstrate the ability to multitask.
  • Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking.
  • Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
