Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM The Janitor performs all tasks involved in maintaining a clean work environment; adhering to the Master Cleaning Schedule and practicing safe work habits. The Janitor works in all areas of the plant as needed. Our La Crosse, WI, plant is home to approximately 330 employees. This facility supplies the food, beverage, and nutritional industries with innovative functional ingredients and superior quality contract manufacturing services. La Crosse, WI, is nestled between the Mississippi River and the rolling river bluffs. This town is home to a plethora of colleges, high-quality health care, community events, and cultural opportunities. If you want to enjoy outdoor activities there are many opportunities, such as hiking, cycling, skiing, and boating. The town hosts multiple events annually and is famously known for their Oktoberfest celebration as well as offering a minor league baseball team. Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules.
  • Perform work safely and efficiently in all areas of the plant including break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and corridors.
  • Ensure work area and janitorial supplies are properly organized and maintained.
  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to ensure all documentation requirements are met.
  • Assist in executing pest control program and monitoring facility.
  • Assist in snow removal and management during winter months.
  • Complete non-routine cleaning/sanitation tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in the training/mentoring of newly hired janitorial team members.
  • Contact with federal/state/regulatory inspectors on an annual basis.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
