About The Position

Farmers Union Industries, LLC (FUI) is a leading agricultural-based manufacturing company headquartered in Redwood Falls, MN. FUI's operations include Central Bi-Products, Northland Choice, Midwest Grease, Artex Manufacturing, Redwood Farms Meat Processors, and Performance Pet Products. Performance Pet, located in Mitchell, SD, specializes in creating canned dog and cat foods for various brands. The company is currently seeking applications for a Janitor.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes
Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work safely
Ability to perform safety sensitive position
Ability to work in a facility that processes multiple proteins including beef, pork, chicken, turkey, fish, lamb, rabbit, kangaroo, and egg

Nice To Haves

Previous experience performing janitorial duties
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and deadlines with little supervision
Strong attention to detail and desire for facility cleanliness
Perform duties as stated on cleaning checklist with the ability to be adaptable to emergent needs
High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities

Ensure office, bathroom, and breakroom floors and rugs are clean of debris by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
Empty and dispose of items collected in trashcans and paper shredders
Clean glass surfaces including doors, windows, and display cases
Wipe down counters, tables, chairs, and other commonly used surfaces
Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms and restock toiletries as needed
Restock cutlery, personal protective equipment, and hydrating drinks, as needed; inform Administrative Assistant if supplies need to be ordered
Clean vents and light fixtures
Perform in-depth cleaning projects, as needed or requested
Prepare break or meeting rooms for special occasions by setting up tables, chairs, and/or serving food, when necessary
Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance
Temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description, as situations may arise
Work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload, if requested
