About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for general cleaning tasks throughout the facility and maintenance of cleaning supplies inventory levels. In this function, you will: Perform cleaning and sanitation of the facility including cafeterias, break areas, bathrooms, and hallways, etc. Clean, sanitize, and refill inventory for all plant restrooms. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in break areas, cafeterias, bathrooms, hallways, offices & etc. Operate cleaning systems and equipment as trained and specified (i.e. vacuums, floor scrubbers, etc.) Help organize and maintain closets and storage areas. Prepare all cleaning solutions required for the sanitation of the facility. Properly track the use of all chemical cleaning agents, paints, and supplies that are removed from plant inventory. Responsible to accurately communicate utilization of cleaning supplies and request issuance of those consumed items via the plant established procedure. Maintain recycle bins and trash and periodic deep cleaning of office areas, break rooms, and other areas as assigned. Exterior cleaning to include along building, windows, grounds & parking lot in all weather conditions. Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Performs other janitorial duties as required. Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
  • All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • A minimum of six (6) months of previous facilities/janitorial experience
  • Candidates must be able to read and write in English

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Ability to work with limited or no supervision
  • Adhere to all government regulations and corporate safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant work enviornment.
