About The Position

As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced part-time Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will keep the premises of the office buildings and other areas of the plant in clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and perform basic math
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one step or multi-step instructions.
Able to work variable shifts and overtime as needed
Have a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.

Nice To Haves

High school education and one (1) year relevant experience and / or training in janitorial.
Experience in safe handling / cleaning of blood borne pathogens

Responsibilities

Cleans and maintains the offices, shop, restrooms and lunch areas throughout the facilities.
Sweeps, mops, vacuums polish and maintains floors.
Washes walls, windows, door panels, and sills on an as needed basis.
Empties wastebaskets, garbage containers, and recycling throughout the plant facility.
Follows procedures for adding material to wastewater treatment system.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies and cleans and thoroughly sanitizes bathrooms and eating areas.
Dumping smoking receptacles.
Keeping the outside of the building and parking lot clean.
Maintain and reporting inventory of cleaning supplies
