About The Position

The Janitor position is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our commercial facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas are hygienic and presentable for both employees and visitors. The Janitor will also be responsible for managing waste disposal and ensuring that safety procedures are followed at all times. Additionally, this position may involve some landscaping duties to enhance the exterior appearance of the property. Ultimately, the Janitor plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of the facility by ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met consistently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in a commercial setting.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations related to cleaning and maintenance.
• Experience operating a box truck for waste disposal or supply deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the building.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to maintain a clean and environmentally friendly workspace.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and report any issues to management.
• Assist with landscaping and lawn care to ensure the exterior of the property is well-maintained.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols while performing janitorial duties, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment.
