About The Position

We are hiring immediately for part time JANITOR positions at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The position involves keeping buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for students, visitors, and staff. The schedule is part-time with varying days, typically from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 10:00/10:30 pm. The pay range is $10.15 to $10.50 per hour, and while prior janitorial experience is preferred, it is not required. Requirements

• Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers and fellow employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
