About The Position

JM Murray holds a contract partnership with New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) and we are looking for the perfect person to add to our janitorial team in Whitney Point! This position is part-time, up to 15 hours per week, on the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm with a rotating schedule. The pay rate for this position is $16.00 to start, increasing to $16.22 after 180 days. Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year experience in a production environment preferred.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills and the ability to follow written instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve and prioritize individual workloads.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold/rain/snow).
• Ability to interact with the general public in a positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily cleaning of assigned work sites per cleaning specifications as provided by the Custodial Services Supervisor.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality in order to perform tasks related to daily production demands.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations; wears and/or uses required protective equipment while working.
• Cleans and sanitizes in assigned areas including restrooms, eating areas, and common work spaces.
• Completes tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping of general office space, lobbies, waiting areas, and common areas.
• Cleans windows and entrance doors.
• Operates equipment including shop vac, auto floor scrubber, broom, and dust pan.
• Uses cleaning chemicals and completes cleaning/sanitizing according to Company standards and procedures.
• Removes trash and recyclable materials to the proper location and in a timely manner.
• Represents JM Murray in a positive manner, treating people with dignity and respect.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
