We are currently seeking to fill the following position for our Buffalo location. Janitor - Night Shift We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized, team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Requirements

  • Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, and cleaning solutions.
  • Experience handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals.
  • Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position, requirements include but are not limited to the abilities to regularly and repetitively stand, walk, sit, lift (at least 50 pounds), carry (at least 50 pounds), bend, twist, climb stairs, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, crawl, kneel, and climb ladders.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Performs painting, plumbing maintenance, replacing light bulbs and other basic repairs, applying paint and other finishes, repairing drywall and floors, disassembling, and reassembling furniture, replacing faucets, and applying finishing material as needed to maintain appearance.
  • Assist in upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Complete preventative maintenance procedures for building, building systems and grounds as assigned. Ensures safety, security and fire regulations and policies. Makes recommendations for repairs to supervisor.
  • Transports equipment, furniture and supplies manually and/or using aids such as dollies and carts.
  • Complete necessary training needed for clean room procedures, maintain monthly clean room responsibilities.
  • Collects and removes garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Clean internal and external areas such as entranceways, sidewalks and parking lots using manual and power brooms, rakes, shovels, snow blowers, pressure washer, and other equipment to remove dirt, leaves, and other refuse (landscaping and snow removal not included).
  • Perform floor care tasks, such as sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors. Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windows.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas
  • Coverage cleaning tasks
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
