About The Position

The Janitor II is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and general order of Veridian buildings and grounds. The position will perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, wiping down windows and finishes, emptying trash, cleaning and restocking restrooms, and reporting maintenance issues. The position is also responsible for ordering and maintaining cleaning supplies, creating and maintaining janitorial-related documentation, and assisting with various projects.

  • Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and remove trash, garbage, and recycling from receptacles and meeting rooms.
  • Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms with essential supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Vacuum, mop, scrub, and buff floors.
  • Dust, wipe, and polish workstations, tables, and other surfaces, including windows, walls, and glass.
  • Promptly clean up spills and other hazards to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Order and restock cleaning supplies ensuring proper storage of products.
  • Prioritize and organize work orders and task requests for Janitor Is.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Janitor Is, providing task direction and other support as needed.
  • Partner with the Manager of Facilities to create and maintain documentation related to janitorial policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines for handling cleaning products and equipment.
  • Notify appropriate team member(s) of repair needs or unsafe conditions while in the building.
  • Assist with outdoor tasks such as snow removal, pulling weeds, and picking up debris as needed.
  • Assist with setting up meeting rooms, breakrooms, and workstations for meetings, events, and employee moves.
  • Back up building receptionist by assisting with covering the front desk and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, shipments, deliveries, and documents.
