Performs janitorial duties at the Lincoln Court Senior Apartments
Requirements
Must have received basic janitorial training and possess knowledge of using manual or electric cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
At least one year of work experience in janitorial and cleaning services.
Must pass a strength test for physical fitness for the job prior to employment: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist level, and withstand physical activities such as pushing, pulling, stooping, standing, walking, etc.
Nice To Haves
Second language skill a plus, Spanish or Chinese.
Responsibilities
Performs all janitorial duties including dusting, cleaning, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, emptying of wastebaskets, packing & disposing of garbage bags, etc.; cleans the exterior & interior walls of the building, terraces, parking areas, sidewalks, windows, and management offices.
Prepares trash bins for recycling and compost pick-up. Washes and sanitizes the recycling and compost bins every week.
Replenishes & maintains appropriate janitorial supplies. Notifies the immediate supervisor when supplies need to be replenished. e.g., toilet paper rolls, toilet seat covers, and paper towels.
Polishes all the plaques regularly; keeps the furniture clean and tidy at all times.
Sets up, moves, and cleans up tables, chairs, and furniture for meetings and social program activities.
Assists in washing and cleaning of garage and dumpster room, and cleans carpet in the lobby, hallways, and the units periodically.
Performs clean up and final detailed cleaning of apartment unit turnovers, including but not limited to: refrigerators, and range/ovens; exhaust fans and filters; counters, counter-tops and cabinets; sinks, vanities, tubs and showers; walls, hard surface floors and carpets; doors and windows.
Reports maintenance problems or any noticeable damage or needed repairs to the office or the maintenance technician.
Reports to the office any emergency, excessive noise, disorderly conduct, or misuse of property.
Attends staff meetings and safety meetings, as required.
