About The Position

We have an opening for full time and seasonal JANITOR positions. Location: 3415 Northridge Dr NW, Walker, MI 49544. Note: online applications accepted only. Full Time: multiple shifts available, more details upon interview. Seasonal: to be determined upon interview - seasonal employment with opportunity to transition to full-time. The job summary includes keeping buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties, and ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment.

Requirements

• Previous janitorial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
