About The Position

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time JANITOR positions at Henry County Schools. The job involves keeping buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for students and staff. The schedule may vary, with shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. No prior experience is required, and the pay rate is fixed at $12.02 per hour. Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
• Sanitizes all surfaces and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers and fellow employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
