About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor to join our sanitation team inside our freezer department. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment in areas where frozen food products are stored. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in cold temperatures for extended periods and follows all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

Previous janitorial, sanitation, or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work in cold environments for prolonged periods.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Must follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of floors, walls, equipment, and storage areas inside the freezer.
Remove trash, debris, and packaging materials to maintain a clean work environment.
Sweep, mop, and disinfect designated freezer zones following company sanitation standards.
Ensure walkways are clear and free of hazards, including ice buildup.
Clean and sanitize drains, containers, shelving, and any assigned equipment.
Maintain accurate cleaning logs and follow all procedures for food safety compliance (FDA, USDA, HACCP).
Use industrial cleaning tools, chemicals, and PPE safely and correctly.
Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure cleaning tasks do not interfere with operations.
Report any safety concerns, damaged equipment, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Follow all cold-storage safety protocols and take regular warm-up breaks as instructed.
