About The Position

The Janitor position is a full-time role based in Rupert, ID, with a day shift from 6am to 2pm, offering a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. Requirements

• Previous experience working in manufacturing and/or sanitation preferred.
• Experience using industrial cleaning chemicals preferred.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and perform instructions for sanitation.
• Ability to read and understand chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Possesses self-confidence and maturity to make decisions and to solve problems with minimal direction.
• Ability to work independently and professionally for significant portions of shift.
• Good organizational skills and time management skills.
• Team player that is flexible and accepting of changes in assignments and accountabilities based on the needs of the facility.
• Ability to operate equipment used in industrial sanitation, including electrical cleaning equipment.
• Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, and walls.
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, stair handrails, office tools, phones, keyboards, and break room tables.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Empty trash cans and/or recycling bins.
• Mix and utilize cleaning chemicals.
• Clean and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Clean and maintain various aspects of the exterior of the facility, including washing and cleaning windows and cleaning walkways.
• Identify and report any pest control issues.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) to comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.
• Inventory and report to supervisor and/or manager on cleaning supplies.
• Notify supervisor and/or manager of any unsafe conditions.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
