Cleaning Specialist (Part-time)

About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the building, as well as performing general maintenance and minor repairs. This is a part time position, up to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Work hours are flexible between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Must understand and communicate in English for job-related instructions and safety.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong time management skills to work efficiently.
Capable of performing routine maintenance.
Previous janitorial or maintenance experience
Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold or extreme heat.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and reach overhead for extended periods.
Must physically handle climbing ladders, bending, or crawling in confined spaces.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
Clean windows and mirrors.
Clean bathrooms and restock supplies such as soap and toilet paper.
Clean and sanitize kitchen areas.
Dust surfaces throughout the building.
Empty trash and remove waste.
Replace light bulbs as needed.
Report unsafe conditions or the need for repairs to supervisor.
Clean spills and other hazards using appropriate equipment.
Organize and maintain janitorial storage areas.
Assist with setup and cleanup for special events.
Maintain outdoor areas such as the parking lot and break area by blowing grass, removing debris, and addressing hazards.
