About The Position
Austin Industrial is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team in Chalmette, Louisiana. The Janitor will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and clients. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to take on non-routine cleaning tasks and special projects as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing various areas, including offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and public spaces. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance are essential for this role. In addition to routine cleaning tasks, the Janitor will be expected to perform specific duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors, gathering and emptying trash, servicing restrooms, and cleaning furniture and fixtures. The role also involves monitoring building security and safety, performing minor repairs, and requisitioning supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning and maintenance duties. The Janitor will be required to drive vehicles to perform cleaning work and may need to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment as part of their responsibilities.
