About The Position
ACME Markets is working to become the favorite food and drug retailer in every market it serves. The organization includes 2,276 stores, 23 distribution facilities, and 20 manufacturing plants with over 300,000 employees across 34 states and the District of Columbia. The company has supermarkets across the country that include: Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Carrs, ACME, Jewel-Osco, Lucky's, Shaw's, Star Market, Super Saver, United Supermarkets, Market Street, Kings, Balducci's Food Lovers, and Amigos. The purpose of this position is to ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse floors, offices, break rooms, and restrooms. The janitor will be responsible for emptying trash in all areas of the warehouse as needed and maintaining the cleanliness of the outdoor trash disposal area and the outside grounds. The schedule for this position is the 3rd shift, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Tuesday through Saturday. The janitor will support all sanitation programs and food safety programs, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing the floor routinely. They will also strip and wax office floors as needed, clean warehouse racking, and respond to calls over the radio. The role requires cleaning restroom fixtures routinely, restocking paper towels and toilet paper, and ensuring a safe work environment by following company cleanliness standard operating procedures. The janitor is responsible for performing all job duties with integrity and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all employees.
