JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION Performs janitorial duties as assigned by supervisor including dusting, sweeping/vacuuming floors, mopping, washing walls, cleaning bathrooms, and other cleaning duties. Performs security duties including securing all windows and doors. Sweeps all sidewalks and picks up trash outdoors as needed.

Requirements

Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
Knowledge of operation of vacuum, and other motorized cleaning equipment.
Knowledge of cleaning supplies and SDS Sheets.
Skill in keyboarding, computer applications sufficient to read and answer emails, to use Workday, and perform online training. (Relias)
Skill in customer service techniques.

Nice To Haves

Janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs janitorial duties as assigned by supervisor including dusting, sweeping/vacuuming floors, mopping, washing walls, cleaning bathrooms, and other cleaning duties.
Keeps janitor’s closet clean and organized.
Notifies supervisor when supplies are running low.
Reports any inoperable equipment or unsafe equipment.
Vacuum and clean front entrance nightly.
Sweep all sidewalks and pick up trash outdoors as needed.
Empty trash throughout building.
Clean refrigerator in staff lounge and lab.
Performs security duties including securing all windows and doors.
Takes initiative to prevent and resolve problems and offers recommendations for improving services.
Washs and dries all cleaning rags as needed.
Attends staff meetings and other internal meetings as assigned.
Participates on committees as assigned, including quality assurance functions.
Maintains appropriate communication with other employees and work as an effective member of treatment team.
