The J2EE Java Developer position is a critical role responsible for highly complex coding and software development tasks. The successful candidate will manage small sections of ongoing projects while closely adhering to deadlines and reporting directly to the Senior Development Director. This role requires the creation of design specifications, unit testing, and the preparation of technical documentation. The developer will also be responsible for maintaining professional relationships with customers and cross-team members, ensuring that expectations are met throughout the development process. In this position, the developer will update and develop software while providing customer support. They will assist in product and project management, managing the assignment and coordination of technical activities. The role demands an increasing level of expertise in key software development and system implementation, as well as the maintenance of all system administration, development, and support documentation, including current product level release notes. The developer will also assist with planning, requirement analysis, and testing of all system patches and upgrades, supporting production issues and activities as necessary by researching, analyzing issues, and identifying or delivering solutions.
