By joining the J&J La Jolla Campus Management team, you would be shaping and implementing some aspects of the Campus Internship Enrichment Program to engage our local interns. You will also be using your communications skills to help our team share the latest Campus activities and support our dynamic culture!

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Sophomore year at an accredited University.
  • Communications, marketing, business administration, or related fields
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal skills; comfortable interacting with all levels of our workforce; thrives around people.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Platforms (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  • Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the US.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Be the “face” of the Internship Engagement Program as the ambassador for interns on campus.
  • Build connections with interns and be a source of information; provide communication materials to all interns.
  • Create and document activities plan for the La Jolla Internship Enrichment Program, including outreach to employee volunteers.
  • Write campus internal communication materials such as newsletter articles, engagement activity notifications, call for volunteer emails, etc. that increase the value of our campus business and culture.
  • Lead a digital signage (visual communications) campaign highlighting different aspects of working on the campus.
  • Contribute to campus employee engagement campaigns and support team partners with event planning needs and other projects.
  • Strengthening the campus internal social media page (Viva Engage).

  • Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
