About The Position

The J Café staff members create a welcoming environment and provide excellent service to customers of our poolside J Cafe snack bar. The J Café is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. A variety of daytime, evening and weekend shifts are available.

Requirements

• At least 15 years old
• Ability to learn and accurately use a computerized Point of Sale system
• Ability to learn and follow procedures for storing, preparing and serving food
• Very personable and friendly
• Must be able to multi-task
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Requires constant standing and walking during shifts, typically up to 4 hours
• Some bending and reaching to access supplies or when cleaning, sweeping, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with food service and/or customer service is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Describe menu items and promote J Café specials
• Take customer orders and prepare menu items
• Follow rules regarding the storage, preparation and service of Kosher food (training provided)
• Receive payments and present correct change to customer
• Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, equipment, service and seating areas
• Receive or stock supplies and retail products
