Title: Ixapak Machine Operator Location: Nampa, ID Job Summary: As a Packaging Machine Operator for Materne North America, you will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of the packaging machine for the end of our manufacturing process. This position is on our C shift: Thursday-Saturday and E/O Wednesday, 7am- 7pm.
Requirements
- Must be able to work and stand for an entire shift (12 hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Technical / Trade School preferred
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Prior experience working in the food industry is preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take/record measurements and understand tare weight)
Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed packaging equipment through touchscreen/HMI in a production environment
- Reset robotic arm positions after line shut down
- Load packaging materials into packaging machine
- Set machine to increase/decrease number of pouches selected for different size packaging sleeves
- Break down machinery with hand tools to clean and sanitize
- Observe/inspect materials to identify contamination, foreign materials, uniformity and quality
- Operate industrial carts and power hand carts
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment
- Clean packaging area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Perform and complete sensory testing
