About The Position

Aquatech immediately needs a full-time Field Service Engineer for its Integrated Water Services division (IWS) at our Canonsburg, PA, or the Houston, Texas office location. This is an exempt position. The selected candidate will report to the Sr. Manager (IWS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Associate’s degree in Chemical / Environmental engineering or Elect and Controls, Mechanical engineering
  • Experience with water treatment equipment such as filters, RO, clarifiers, Ion Exchange, and wastewater treatment is highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of pumps, valves, and instrumentation and controls is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of industrial safety is necessary
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems is preferred
  • Experience in programming of PLC and HMI is highly desirable
  • 1 - 7 years’ experience in a process industry or process engineering firm

Responsibilities

  • Provide field service to Aquatech’s customers (domestic and international)
  • Startup and troubleshooting of water treatment plants and equipment supervision and providing maintenance advice to customers
  • Prepare daily reports on activities at customer sites
  • Map additional business opportunities at customer sites
  • Be a technical adviser to our customers
  • Work closely with all engineering disciplines to support customers
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on lessons learned for future improvements
  • Carry out modifications to PLC and HMI programs under guidance from the home office
  • Supervise site activities such as filter media and RO membrane loading
  • Provide training to customer staff on plant operation and maintenance
  • Participate in in-house activities such as preparing engineering documents, schedules, and programming PLC and HMI equipment
  • Assist in developing proposals
  • Make visits to vendor sites for inspection and testing
  • Travel up to 60% of the time may be necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
